Habilitation (Community & Day)

Community and Day Habilitation services are designed to correspond to an individual’s strengths and needs which are essential to residing successfully in a home and community-based setting. Activities are individualized and environments are intended to foster and promote the development of fundamental skills. Skilled instructors provide supports that assist individuals to acquire, retain or improve their adaptive skills, daily living skills, social and/or leisure skills, as well as assist with gaining opportunities for community inclusion and relationship building. Staff also provide training and support for independence in travel, financial management, self-advocacy, informed decision making, and behavior support all which allows greater access to their communities.
