WANTED: Family Care Providers & Family Care Respite Providers

Family Care Providers

Family Care is a program that provides community-based residential housing in certified private homes for individuals with developmental disabilities. By providing the support, guidance and companionship of a family, the Family Care program fosters a caring and stable home environment for children, adolescents and adults who are developmentally disabled and unable to live independently in the community.

Family Care Respite Providers

Family Care Respite provides temporary relief for the Family Care Providers from the demands of care giving, which helps reduce overall stress. This often enables the Family Care Providers to better meet the needs of their loved one with a developmental disability. Respite can be provided in the home or out of the home, during the day, evenings or overnight. Respite is an “indirect” service that provides relief to individuals who are responsible for the primary care and support of an individual with a developmental disability.
