ACHIEVE Holds Annual Business Recognition Luncheon

Allegany Arc’s ACHIEVE Career Consultants honored local business partners during a luncheon on Monday, October 26, 2015, celebrating National Disability Employment Awareness Month. The event is an opportunity to thank local businesses for believing in the abilities of the ACHIEVE workforce, both in the community and through W
ork Center subcontracts.

The following awards were presented:

Employer of the Year was awarded to Cuba Memorial Hospital for their commitment in creating strong work opportunities for people with special needs and creating an advantageous environment that will help people succeed.

Community Partner of the Year was awarded to Whitesville Central School for creating opportunities for students with special needs with the goal of helping them build better lives for the future.

Corporate Community Leader of the Year was awarded to Tops Friendly Markets for their strong efforts in creating gainful employment opportunities and recognizing the full working potential of people with special needs.

Special Recognition Award was presented to Rhonda Campbell for all her hard work and perseverance making her not only a shining star but an inspiration to all of her peers.

ACHIEVE is once again privileged to recognize and honor individuals, businesses and area schools who represent the very best of this community. Without their commitment and integrity, ACHIEVE would not be able to fulfill their mission of providing multiple avenues for individuals to prepare for and become successful members of the workforce community.
